Dak Prescott led this tier in passing yards and touchdowns in 2025 and is still the ninth quarterback drafted, because he does nothing on the ground.
Prescott threw for more yards and more touchdowns in 2025 than any other quarterback in the top ten of this board, across all 17 games, and he is still drafted behind eight of them. That is not a market error. It is the position working as designed. His 177 rushing yards are worth about 18 fantasy points across a full season, where Josh Allen's rushing is worth close to 150. To make that back through the air, Prescott needs roughly 1,300 more passing yards than Allen, and in 2025 he had about 900 more. The gap in the rankings is arithmetic, not opinion.
What that means practically is that he is the best available quarterback at the point in a draft where you have stopped paying for the position. If you spent early picks on running backs and receivers, Prescott gives you 4,000-plus passing yards and 30 touchdowns for nothing, which is a perfectly good starting line. The 2026 schedule is unhelpful at 2 out of 5, and the bye is late at week 14, which lands inside many fantasy playoff formats and is worth checking against your league's calendar before you draft him. Take him as the value he is, and do not expect a week where he wins a matchup by himself.

It can, and it is worth two minutes of checking. Week 14 is inside the fantasy playoffs in some league formats and just outside in others. If it falls in your playoff weeks you need a backup you would actually start, which changes the calculation on a quarterback whose appeal is that he was cheap.
