HOW THE LOTTERY REVEAL WORKS

Set the rule, then let the machine speak.

A lottery feels fair when the league can name the rule, see the field, and revisit the reveal.

  1. 01LOTTERY STEP

    Add the league

Import a Sleeper league or enter team names. The lottery works from the field you can see, so each manager knows which ball belongs to which team.

  2. 02LOTTERY STEP

    Choose the rule

For most fantasy leagues, use equal odds. Each team gets one equal chance at each available slot. A weighted lottery, where some teams receive extra entries to reward a record or a finish, is a house rule some leagues run outside the game.

  3. 03LOTTERY STEP

    Watch the balls leave

The Draft Lottery show draws picks from the last slot toward Pick 1. The final ball left in the machine gets first overall, with the reveal staged in a glass hopper and tube.

  4. 04LOTTERY STEP

    Share the proof

Save the replay link and send it to the league. The same result can be watched again, which gives every manager a visible record of the reveal.

EQUAL ODDS OR WEIGHTED ODDS

Pick the rule before you pick the order.

Equal odds fit most fantasy leagues because the draft order is a clean reset. Every team enters the draw on the same footing, regardless of last season's finish. A weighted system can fit a keeper league or a league that wants to give a struggling team extra chances, but its weights should be public before anyone sees a ball move.

  • 01EQUAL ODDSEqual-odds lotteryEach team gets one equal chance in the draw. This is the clearest choice when every manager should face the same odds for Pick 1.
  • 02WEIGHTEDWeighted lottery (house rule)Some leagues agree to give a team extra entries. The Draft Arena lottery itself always runs equal odds, so handle weights by agreement before the show.
  • 03QUICK OPTIONTen-second alternativeWhen your league wants a quick answer, the draft order wheel sets the full board in one spin and supports 4 to 20 teams.

THE DRAFT LOTTERY GAME

A glass hopper, named balls, one board.

The Draft Lottery is a real Draft Arena game built around the lottery-machine reveal.

MACHINEGLASS HOPPER

Watch the field churn

Each manager's ball moves in the glass hopper before it exits through the tube. The scene gives the league a physical object to watch while the next slot waits.

ORDERLAST TO FIRST

Keep Pick 1 for the end

The game reveals the later draft slots first and holds the final ball for the first pick. That order gives the room a reason to stay with the reveal.

RECORDSHAREABLE REPLAY

Show the same result twice

Every run can produce a replay to share. Post it in the group chat, keep it with the league notes, or send it to a manager who could not watch the lottery live.

LOTTERY QUESTIONS

Answers before the draw.

Publish the rule, add the names, and let the league watch the order arrive.

How does a fantasy draft lottery work?
A fantasy draft lottery assigns teams to a random order through a ball or ticket draw. The order can be revealed from the last pick toward Pick 1, so the final ball left in the machine receives the first selection.
Can you weight a draft lottery?
Not inside the game. gamedai's Draft Lottery always runs equal odds, one chance per team. Weighted lotteries, where some teams get extra entries, are common in pro sports; if your league wants weights, agree on them and run that math as a house rule before the show.
How do you prove the lottery was fair?
Publish the rule before the draw, give every team the same odds when using an equal-odds format, and share the replay after the reveal. Draft Arena decides the draw before the animation and lets the league revisit the same show.
Does it work for 8, 10, 12 team leagues?
Yes. Type the team names or import a Sleeper league, and the draw uses exactly the teams you enter, including common 8, 10, and 12 team formats.
